Hey Guys, my name is Steven Goonen, and I am your new Lead Maverick. I grew up in Orlando, FL, and am currently a Junior majoring in Business. 2009 is going to be a great year, and I look forward to meeting and getting to know all the residents at UH 13th Street!

RateCrafter Internet Services We are pleased to welcome you to Cox’s new RateCrafter Internet Services. Once authenticated, you will be able to manage your own Internet services by logging into your account. You can change your service settings, add computers, gaming devices and upgrade your bandwidth. RateCrafter also helps keep the apartment network free of performance-degrading viruses by enforcing an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Let’s get started… 1. Start by connecting an Ethernet cable directly from your PC to the Ethernet port in the wall. 2. IMPORTANT: If you have a wireless card, please disable it so that it won’t interfere with your account creation process. 3. Open up a browser on your computer and you will be redirected to our Welcome page. Scroll to the bottom of the Welcome page and click on “Click Here to Read the AUP”. 4. Read and accept the AUP by clicking on the “I Agree” button at the bottom of the page. 5. This next page is the RateCrafter login page. Since you are a new user on the network, just click the “New Account” button to begin the account creation process. 6. All fields are required, so enter your information and click the “Save” button. 7. Upon successful registration, you should see the following message: “Congratulations! Your new Internet service account is now active. You may begin using your new Internet services now or login to manage your account and/or upgrade your bandwidth. If you have any questions regarding this service, please contact support. Enter a URL below, and click “Go” to browse the web.” Logging Into Your New Account 1. Now that you’ve created your account, you may log in by going to http://ratecrafter.com and click “Login” and enter your username and password. 2. Once you login, you will be taken to the Resident Management page which has a snapshot of you equipment and services. 3. Please verify that your personal information is correct. To make changes, enter the new or modified information and click the “Save” button. Managing Your Internet Services So you’ve successfully created an account and logged in. What’s the next step? From here there are a couple options that might be of interest to you: Upgrading your bandwidth. This is a great option for: o Serious Gamers o Heavy Downloaders/Uploaders o Video/Music Streaming Adding additional devices and making them network accessible. This feature is perfect for those needing to add a device to the network that isn’t capable of accessing the Internet through a browser. For example: o Gaming consoles (PS3, PS2, Xbox 360) o VoIP phone (Lingo, Vonage) o DVR (digital video recorder, TiVo) Upgrading Your Bandwidth 1. On the right-hand side, you’ll notice your Internet service tier details along with the Downstream and Upstream data rates. You can upgrade your bandwidth by clicking the “Upgrade Bandwidth Now” button. 2. Start out by selecting a Service Tier. Please note that the service tiers and prices shown are only an example. Next, select the Upgrade Duration and click the “Checkout” button. Just as a reminder, all bandwidth sales are final as stated in red, so choose wisely. 3. When the system prompts you to enter your zip code, make sure you enter the zip code where the credit card bill is sent. 4. Enter your Credit Card information here and click the “Submit Payment” button. 5. After your Credit Card is successfully processed, you’ll receive this confirmation along with a receipt in your email. Adding Additional Devices to Your Account 1. Log into your account and locate the “Existing MAC Addresses” section of your Resident Management page. Enter the MAC Address of the device that you want to make network accessible, a personalized Label, select the appropriate Device Type from the pull down menu, and lastly, click “Save”. 2. You should now see the new device listed under the Existing MAC Addresses list. 3. Be sure to power cycle or reboot your device after adding it. Support You can find answers for frequently asked questions by logging into you account and clicking the “Support” link at the top right hand of the Tenant Management page. We know how hard our residents have been working to do well on their finals, so we decided to have a 'good luck' pancake breakfast. It was a great turn-out and we want to thank everyone who came and enjoyed the awesome pancakes that the Mavericks cooked up!

The SEC game was awesome and as expected that Gators showed everyone why we are still called title town! We dominated Alabama!

It's time to announce the winner of the highly coveted SEC tickets who will witness the Gators roll over the Tide!

Meet Kori Benton! He will be cheering on the Orange and Blue at the Georgia Dome on December 6th!



The SEC giveaway was presented at the University House booth at the Housing Fair on Novemeber 19th! We're excited Kori may be joining us next year as part of the UH 13th Street family!

Congratulations Kori! We will be looking for you on T.V.!!!

12/3/2008 Tacky Holiday Sweater Party!!

The Tacky Holiday Sweater Party went great! Despite the freezing cold, all the Jimmy Johns and drinks were depleted by the end of the night! DJ Esteban kept the music rollin' with some of the latest hits!

24 teams competed in our B pong tournament! The final game came down to the Rainbow Warriors vs Team Do Work! After a heart felt game, The Rainbow Warriors took the prize of 2 $25 giftcards to The Swamp Restaurant.

Michael Boechler won our Tacky Holiday Sweater contest with a sweater he borrowed from his dad! Congrats Michael!
We hope to see everyone at more events this month!!!

12/1/2008 Door Decorating Contest!

The Door Decorating Contest has begun! From Today, December 1st until December 9th, Decorate your doors and balconies in the best holiday decorations you can find! (Reasonable for a college kid of course!)

On December 10th, your favorite Mavericks will be judging based on creativeness & level of festivity! Whatever holiday you may celebrate go ahead and put up some lights or cut outs! All is welcome!!

One apartment will win! Each member of the room will be able to chose up to $10 in giftcards/certificates. There will be anywhere from 1-4 winners depending on size of room!
